E-2 Treaty Investor Visa

Some countries have a treaty with the U.S. that allows entry for the purpose of conducting business. These “E” visas are applied for at the consulate, and after an interview, the person is granted entry to the U.S. 2-year periods. E investor visas require substantial investment and proof of a viable business, and they are available both to the investors themselves and to key employees who are executives, supervisors, or in positions requiring special qualifications.
